… there will be plenty of convention activities tailored to your interests. Stop by the APA booth for ECPs inside the APA Member Resource Area. There, you can get the 2013 Convention Guide for Early Career Psychologists, which notes program sessions you may find especially pertinent to your experience as a psychologist so far. You can also pick up a free copy of the handbook “Financial Planning for early Career Psychologists.” The booth will also be the place to grab (free!) coffee and pastries on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10:30-11:30, co-sponsored by the Committee on Early Career Psychologists and the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards.
And don’t miss the social hour for ECPs on Friday, Aug. 2, from 6-6:50 p.m. in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Rainbow Suites I and II. This will be THE PLACE to make new connections and meet old friends.
If you’re bringing kids, be sure to stop by the APA “Kids’ Place” in the convention center. This space will offer an entertainment and play area for children, video games for the older kids and a good place for parents to grab a comfortable seat.
